What She Says....Right Now

A few weeks ago, I whipped up a little layout to document the words and phrases Ellie has been saying lately.

Since it might be hard to read on the layout itself, I'll include them here:
  • Mommy
  • Daddy
  • Clap clap
  • Quack quack
  • Beep beep
  • Wheeee!
  • Ba-BEE (baby)
  • Go-go (goldfish)

Some new additions this week include "ball," "book," and "tree" :)

The talking has been a lot of fun so far:)

What has been new and exciting for YOU this week?

The past two weeks....

It's been a long time, I know. We've just finished one of the craziest periods of the the past few months, and I am SO glad to be back to normal life and the blog!

We've spent the past two weeks at a wedding, celebrating a Jewish holiday, celebrating a friend's new baby boy, going to a work conference, and visiting with family. Whew.

This little number arrived during the craziness:

Can't wait to edit my photos and get the post up!

We also partied at a wedding:

Although E wasn't a fan of the fast music. She did like the dance floor, though!

I also snuck in a little photo shoot with E, which I'm thrilled to share with you now!

There were some reflective poses....

And pretty sun!

(More reflection here. Ha!)

Now we were getting a bit feisty!

We broke out the paci...

The baby is THIS close to the camera because she was ready to be picked up. But it made for a cute shot! Now to learn how to clone out runny noses.....

Sweet little skirt:)

Google Plus magically made this combo image for me, but I like it! It shows the highs and, er, lows of our shoot:)

I think one of my new favorite parts of summer is getting beautiful outdoor photos!

What are YOU up to this summer?

Target, How I Love Thee

I'm a huge Target fan--in fact, I call it "the mothership." I'm a even bigger fan of the new Threshold line at Target--SO much pretty and cute stuff, and all so affordable!

It does, however, add up, which is why I decided to window-shop, rather than real shop (with a few exceptions--let's be realistic here.)

Here are a few of the things I loved the most:

A bee-yoo--tiful starburst mirror. I ALMOST bought this. But man, I have so many mirrors (and not as much wall).

I did buy this mirror, for our entry hall. Yellow, lacquered and lovely for $29. Score!

This isn't the Threshold line at all--just an awesome trash can. That would look great in my kitchen. One day:)

I was admiring these bins, which are exactly what I need for the hall closet, but they only had 2 in the store. May poke around for these online....

A pretty canvas....

Another stunning wall mirror. And only $39.99! It took great self restraint to leave it in the store.

More beautiful mirrors. Love the red laquer one on the left, and the captain's mirror up ahead. I was really considering the captain's mirror for our entry hall, but it seemed a bit too "captainy" in person. Alas.

Is there anything YOU are loving at Target lately?
