Blog Shower

Today the good folks at Ella are having a blog shower for Angie Lucas! Angie welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Keira, this week.

Since I'm not a mother yet, any advice I give should be taken with a grain of salt! But nevertheless, here it is:

First, I think Angie should buy this onesie set from Target:Doesn't that little elephant resemble the Ella mascot just a teeny bit?

Second, I think Angie's already done a wonderful job with the fabulous name of Keira Jane. I'm a big fan of baby name trends, and going through life as "Keshet" has given me a unique perspective on that topic:) Love how Keira's name is not super common, but so beautiful and classic.

Third, and I know Angie doesn't need a reminder on this one, treasure this. Like Angie, my husband and I have not had children in the exact time we expected to. I am so grateful that Angie's long wait is finally over, and I know that she will bring so much depth, insight and pure love to motherhood.

So happy for you Angie!

PS--In case you're confused by this unprecedented frequency of posting, there's another new-ish post below!

  1. Hi Keshet, I don´t have children either, but I love those little onesies, I´m sure Angie Lucas would adore the one with the little ellephant;)

  2. Some great advice there Keshet! Natural-born Mama, you are. Hoping that day comes for you soon. :)

  3. I agree Keshet - sounds like you are a natural - keeping you in my prayers :)
    Adorable onesies!

  4. Favorite part of your post? Treasure this. Because children are a treasure to behold. Keeping you in my prayers.

  5. keshet, you are a sweetheart! i am praying your day comes very soon! hugs

  6. good good advice .. love the showerhop

  7. Your advice is great! I especially love how you gave her some fashion advice. Made me laugh! : )

  8. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog Kechet! Love your scrapbook layouts and LOVE your name! :)

  9. Keshet, THANK YOU! It is definitely very like me to show up late to my own party. (Getting the hang of this new mommy thing!) But I love your insights--and you perfectly encapsulated what I was going for with Keira's name! We did quite a lot of research to get the classic, feminine feel without being overly common. Best of luck to you, and I hope you don't have to wait long to welcome Keshet, Jr. into your wonderful home. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I love hearing your thoughts:)
