Scarlet Lime December--Frugal Fab!!

This month, I used Scarlet Lime's Frugal Fab kit--and it's a good thing too, because I LOVE it!

Check out all of this pink and green goodness:

Pink and green is one of my FAVE color combos, so I actually squealed when I unwrapped this kit!

One of my favorite elements in the kit are these Sassafrass flowers:

Sigh. Love layered blooms.

Here's what I did with the kit:

Journaling reads: I love you so much more each day. Not too deep, not too complicated--but completely from my heart.

Ignore the horrible photo of this one. It's like the gingerbread cookie, the layout that refuses to be captured for posterity.

Journaling reads: I try to focus on what I do have, not what I'm missing, but sometimes I fail miserably. I want a baby so badly, I even want sillier things like a design team. But I remind myself that reality today may not be the same tomorrow. I dwell in possibility of good things to come. 11/10. I nearly always date my layouts--adds some context to a pure stream of emoting:)

If you can't tell from the layout above, I'm in a bit of a slump the past few days, in terms of feeling confident in my scrapbook work and life in general. But despite the nasty weather outside today, I can already feel the fog lifting, mostly thanks to my friends. I just have the best friends ever. And I'm lucky to meet so many new friends through scrapbooking--you all are truly wonderful.

What are YOU up to this scrappy Sunday? How is the holiday prep going, friends?

  9. I always draw such inspiration from your layouts. And I especially love the stories you tell. I love your "love letters" you write to your hubby in the layouts with him. It always makes me sigh.:-)

  11. Its hard to put yourself out there because there is so much negativity, but dont doubt youre amazing and you have great stories to tell. Going through personal hardships is always a drain on my creative mojo, but when you come out on the other side those same hardships can be inspiration.

  13. Great kit and beautiful layouts as always!
I don't see why you doubt your scrapbooking work - you had accomplished so much just recently!
If I could pray I would pray that your wish for a baby would be answered. I am going to send all my positive thoughts your way.

  14. Love the layouts-and I love that you are able to honestly express how you feel emotionally. I'm praying for you about your desire to start a family. (I've been there--I know that yearning.)
We had a whole weekend of Christmas activities, so I had lots of inspiration to scrap some photos from last year. (Yes, I am a wee bit behind.) I'll be sharing those later this week.
    Have a great Monday, Keshet!

  20. How can you be not confident in your scrapbooking when you make pages like these ones?! Look at the second page, for instance - it's *gorgeous*! And I mean ***gorgeous***!!
And I'm sure the same applies to other areas in your life that you don't feel confident in... And I have no doubt I'n right about that. :)

  23. Love the layouts!!! I've been in a slump recently too, I put myself too far out and let the opinions and rejections really get to me. Remembering why I craft has helped me get back into it!

  24. I can totally relate to your wanting to be a mother. I got married at 38 and had my son 13 months later. But I would love to have another child, which has not happened, and my son is 3.5 years old. Don't get me wrong, I feel totally blessed being happily married and with an amazing child. But we all still wish for things. What if I daven for you to have a baby and you daven for me and let's see if Hashem responds in kind?
