One Month Old!

It's official, folks--Ellie is now one month old! Or at least, she was a few days ago, but we're running on Jewish time + mommy time here, so you'll have to forgive me:) Ellie was born on February 1, so that makes remembering her month-aversaries that much easier!

At one month, Ellie is.....
  • 8 lbs, 7 oz. and 20 inches long
  • Nursing very nicely (though we have chats every so often on how it's not nice to beat up Mama at the same time....)
  • Getting started on tummy time and picking her head up completely
  • Showing us she's hungry by "woodpeckering" on our shoulders and trying to eat our noses
  • Still loving her bouncy seat
  • Still hating on bathtime. She looks almost insulted when I squeak the rubber ducky at her to keep her happy!
  • So much more alert and awake
  • Starting to look us in the eye and snuggle more
  • Smiling in her sleep:)
I'm still working on my photo shoot technique (AHEM--see photo below), but so far I'm using belly stickers from BuddhaBellies on Etsy, my chalkboard photo prop, and matching accessories.

And do you see that adorable quilt? That was handmade just for little e by the super sweet (and so talented!) Holly Humbert! It makes me want to take up quilting, although truthfully, I don't think I could make something more "me" than this gorgeous blanket.

I'll be back soon with my Write. Click. Scrapbook. project for March! And tell me, what are YOU looking forward to in March?

Before I go, looking for some help on learning how to run actions on PSE 9. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial?

  1. Has it really been a month already? It seems like just yesterday you were announcing Ellie's arrival. She is a doll! I must admit, I kind of like the photo of her crying. :)I'm sending you a pm about actions.

  2. On my word...she is just so adorable! Love the bottom pic and that quilt is so fantastic!
Ditto what Diane said about the crying pic. It's totally adorable!

  3. Oh my goodness she is just so precious-even crying/screaming!! That quilt is to die for-so gorgeous!

  4. I love the quilt too (and the cute munchkin on it :)
I have pioneer woman's actions for pse and they are very easy to use once installed... all the links to either video or written instructions are on her blog.

  5. She is just to precious! Beautiful photos.
    I can't believe it's been a month already!

  6. Too cute!! Love those photo's!!!

  7. Oh so cute! That "crying" one is a treasure and your props are the cutest.

  8. One month already?! Aww, so precious time. Enjoy every minute!

  9. she's darling. ( how can she already be a month old?!? )

    the quilt is gorgeous.

and if it makes you feel better, my oldest was probably two before she decided to like baths. we bathed her once a week as an infant because she screamed like a banshee for the duration of the bath...and honestly, if it's not soothing them, it's not like they're really getting dirty. we learned to love just using a warm washcloth for sponge baths in between real baths.

  10. I know the goal is to capture happy babies, but I LOVE the crying picture. So sweet and real. And even crying looks great on top of that quilt.

  11. Love the pics of your sweet Ellie. She's so tiny & sweet xxx

  12. Love the pictures. I wish I had those month stickers when my son was born. I didn't do monthly shoots really just picked up the camera every 5 seconds to take his picture. He makes fun of me in school now and makes comments about how should have the camera surgically attached to my face.

  13. Oh my goodness I just want to snuggle her!
    That quilt looks amazing!
Can't wait to have a little girl of my own :)

  14. She is SO cute. And I loe the photo setup! The quilt is beautiful! :)

  15. She's adorable and I love how you did the signs! Love Penny Scrap-aholic.blogspot.com

  16. YAY! I love everything about it!! I LOVE the quilt and I love the crying photo!!! :)

  17. awww. what a cutie. love your belly stickers and props for documenting her growth. =)

  18. She's such a doll, Keshet! And the quilt is gorgeous- great job, Holly! :)

  19. Whoa, already a month!? She's precious. I love the last photo....so adorable.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I love hearing your thoughts:)
